Light Cave

Client: MAD Architects
Ma Yansong of MAD Architects was invited to Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2018. We filmed his work titled “Light Cave.” Four platforms were erected within the cave, with the final platform facing out towards Kiyotsu Gorge, one of Japan’s three major gorges.
The reflection of the gorge within the cave created a breathtaking piece that quickly became a highlight of the art festival.

2018年の越後妻有大地の芸術祭に招待されたMAD Architectsの馬岩松氏。その際に彼が代表の一人を担うMAD Architectsが出展した作品「Light Cave」を撮影。トンネル内にはプラットフォーム（見晴台）が４つ設営される。最後のプラットフォームは日本三大峡谷の清津峡に向かって切り出されたトンネル。峡谷がトンネル内に反射して映り込む作品は、同芸術祭のなかで一際人気をさらった。
